We recently hired GLS Joinery & Building Ltd to build a shed and convert our attic into loft storage, and we're delighted with the results.
From the very first quote, the team was friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with. They responded quickly to any questions and were always clear and transparent about costs and timescales.
The quality of the work was excellent, and everything was completed to a high standard. To everyone looking for reliable joinery service, GLS Joinery & Building Ltd would be my sincere recommendation.

After contacting a few companies we decided to go with GLS to do a full renovation of our kitchen /living area, after a recommendation and reading their reviews. We wanted to remove a supporting wall between kitchen and living room to give us the open plan living space, replace our 70’s balustrade and change the look of our downstairs toilet which was fully tilled from floor to ceiling. The company is run efficiently (thanks Gregg) with excellent communication (thanks Kirsten) and attention to detail from all their team. So here I go…thanks to Daniel their foreman, Dylan, Donald, Steph, Tommy and Chris. They all take great pride in their work and had the greatest respect for our home, although at one stage it was a building site, but now it’s been completely transformed to a very high standard within the quote we were given and we couldn’t be happier. I must also mention the sub contractors used on our renovation Jordan, the electrician, Ryan & Cole the plastering team, Davy the plumber and Paul painter and decorator who was recommended to us by GLS. I am a bit of a control freak so I was constantly asking questions and asking for changes but nothing was too much trouble and the team were a pleasure to have in our home. If you are considering a renovation or new extension I would highly recommend GLS and their sub contractors mentioned above. We were so pleased with the work that was done internally we asked GLS to build our porch. Once again thanks to everybody for their professionalism and patience they all showed me!

GLS was recommended by our architect, and having read the fantastic reviviews we decided to go with them for our garden room project and part garage conversion.
All communication regarding pricing, timing and materials was discussed in detail before the start date.

We cannot recommend GLS highly enough, the quality of the workmanship was outstanding. Their staff were very courteous and friendly and they built up an excellent rappor with us during the project. The sub contractors were also of the highest standard.

Overall our project was delivered on time and on budget with communication at all times being excellent.

We are beyond happy with the finished project and have no hesitation in recommending Gregg and his wonderful team.

Fantastic builders. We are very happy with our extension and downstairs toilet. Everything went smoothly. GLS continued to communicate with us so we always knew what was happening when. All of the crew were friendly and very professional. I would definitely recommend GLS to anyone who is looking for a trusted building company. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would

Gregg and the GLS team recently completed a large extension of our house. The job clocked in at over three months and I have to say they were absolutely fantastic from beginning to the end. We were originally put in touch with Gregg through out architect. The original quote was very detailed and Gregg made it very clear what work needed to happen and what the timescales were. He provided a very clear payment tracker so it was obvious what was supposed to happen at every stage. Gregg and the team (notable mentions for Dan & Kirsten) also completed our kitchen fitting from Wren to a high standard as well as tackling floor leveling and fitting throughout the ground floor of the house. One of the most impressive things was their communication. I was never left for days with emails hanging wondering what was going on. In a long process like we went though it cant be underestimated how beneficial quick communication can be particularly when your house is literally, a building site. Nothing was ever too much bother even when timescales and situations changed. Probably the two most important things though was that 1) the job came in exactly on budget and 2) all snagging after the event was dealt with promptly and with a calm organised manner. I really cant recommend them highly enough. If you have a big project to tackle, dont look anywhere else.

We are delighted with our build. Gregg and team have done a fantastic job. The site was well managed and kept neat and tidy from day 1 through to the end of the project. GLS brought a wide range of skills to tackle all aspects of the job, from the backbreaking heavy work to the precise finishing details. We were kept up to date with what was happening and when, and any rare problems always came with a thought through solution. It was a pleasure to get to know the team and to see their skills in action.

The end result is even better than we had envisaged at the outset, so many thanks to Steph, Donald, Daniel, Dylan, Chris, Tommy, Cameron, Kirsten and Gregg the stalwarts of the GLS team and a special mention for Ryan and Cole for their exceptional plastering and rendering, Scott and George for their expert brickwork, Paul for the neatest of paint-work, and Jordan for making the complexity of electrical wiring look easy.

We would have no hesitation in using GLS for another project.

We’re very happy with the extension GLS completed for us last year. From start to finish, the project was completed on time and on budget. Whenever something didn't quite go to plan, Gregg always had a solution ready to go, keeping the project moving forward.

The entire GLS team was great, always respectful and tidy. We're so pleased with the extra space we have gained for our family.

We've already recommended GLS to friends and family who have been equally satisfied, and we've even had neighbours knock on our door to ask who built our extension!

If you're looking for a reliable, high-quality builder, look no further than GLS.

Gregg and his team made a fantastic job of fitting new internal doors, fitting out wardrobes and installing sliding doors, and extending the hatch space and installing an attic ladder. They were extremely professional and carried out a first class job. I can’t wait for them to install my new kitchen! Would definitely recommend Gregg and his team at GLS!!!

The whole team were first class, from start to finish! Friendly, efficient, trustworthy, careful to keep mess/disruption to a minimum and cleaned up after every day’s work. Absolutely delighted with my beautiful kitchen and utility room.
Wouldn’t think of going anywhere else for any future work I would like done!
Highly recommended! 😊

Great experience. Converted double garage to ensuite room with additional storage. The whole team are great, friendly, helpful and do a great job. We added on lots of bits as we went and no issues doing so, the team were accommodating. Over the moon with finished result.
